Description
This is a gift for , her dog Lady. I hope that you like this, and I'm sorry it took so long to finish this!
This drawing took more time than I first thought. Especially the black leather couch knocked me off... It's unbelievable how many details one couch can have. I even left some details out because I didn't want that the background would take all the attention from the dog.
Again, if someone has better title ideas, I'd like to hear them
Made by 5H, HB, 2B and 6B pencils and a 0,7 mechanical pencil. A4 paper.
Ref photo [link] (c) ~firebirdofpreyfeenix. As you can see, I changed a couple of things to fit the dog to the drawing (mostly the tail and the eyes)
Art (c) me!
I'd like to hear what you think about this. Critiques and good advice is welcome too (I'm trying to improve all the time).

You have done a really good job here. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The dog's face & proportions are excellent as well as good perspective. The line quality and fur textures are good but could be smoother. You don't necessarily have to draw every single hair. I find that most of the time I give the illusion of the texture of the fur if that makes sense. My life saving tool in doing photo realistic drawings are a blending stick and a mechanical eraser. Here's links to 2 books that I used for my techniques: [link]
[link] Any of the techniques in these 2 books can be applied to anything you're drawing. Not necessarily the object in the artist's example. The leather looks nice but it needs a bit more shine to it. Overall I'd give you an A+.
I look forward to seeing your next piece!
